Due to current water well conditions within the District, Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 391 has implemented Stage One of the District’s Drought Contingency Plan.
We kindly ask all residents to help conserve water by following these simple practices:
- Fix leaking faucets, pipes, and toilets as soon as possible
- Turn off the tap while brushing your teeth or shaving
- Take shorter showers (5–10 minutes if possible)
- Only run the dishwasher and washing machine with full loads
- Use a broom instead of a hose to clean driveways and sidewalks
- Water lawns early in the morning or later in the evening to reduce evaporation
- Collect rainwater to water plants and gardens
- Wash vehicles using a bucket instead of a continuously running hose
- Turn off sprinklers during rainy weather
- Adjust sprinklers so they water landscaping, not sidewalks or streets
